Speaking to Groups

My students tell me all the time that I must have a story to illustrate everything. I tell them that when you have lived and experienced as much as I have, you collect some good stories. I believe stories often highlight or illustrate the  points that drive home the message. If I am going to speak about anything, you can be sure I will have to tell some stories.

I enjoy speaking to all kinds of groups. I bring my own brand of self-deprecating humor when I speak. I like to make upbeat, thought-provoking presentations. I was born to encourage, so you will leave built up, laughing, and encouraged. I often bring along visual aids, nothing grabs an audiences attention more than a bag with something in it sitting by the podium. Everyone wants to know what’s inside and the surprise always connects with my audience.

Options

Churches

I love to speak at churches. God has gifted me with a way to touch the family of God. My messages are positive and encouraging. I have delivered many Sunday sermons, spoken to youth groups and rallies, worked with small groups and Sunday school classes, and have done children’s programs. Jesus taught with parables and I teach with stories. Everything we need to learn can be illustrated with great stories.

School Groups

I have been teaching high school for over 29 years. I have collected plenty of great stories both from personal experience and from colleagues. I like to use humor and to let audiences know that I understand what they are facing because I am still in the trenches. My audiences include teachers, students, and office staff. I have done everything from big groups to break-out sessions.
People love to listen to stories and I love to tell them. The holidays are the best times for telling great stories. I have entertained crowds for almost every holiday on the calendar. My stories are uplifting and encouraging. Groups identify and connect with my stories.
